Q. What is the academic grade requirement?
A. Applicants must have at least a "B" average.
Q. Do I have to be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident to apply?
A. Yes.
Q. I am a high school student. When can I apply?
A. You may apply during your high school senior year up until March 31.
Q. I received a General Education Diploma (GED). Am I eligible to apply?
A. No, these awards are open to high school seniors.
Q. May I submit my application online?
A. No, applications must include the required documents.
Q. Do I have to send all my application documents in one envelope?
A. Yes. Applications should be mailed along with the required documents.
Q. Is there an application fee to apply?
A. Yes, we require a $20 processing fee.
Q. Can I still apply after the deadline?
A. No.
Q. When will I know if I am selected to receive an award?
A. Recipients will be notified by April 30th.
Q. Will I be notified if I do not receive an award?
A. We will not notify those applicants who were not selected. However, we will provide the names of those awarded on our website.
Q. Are scholarships renewable?
A. No. These are one time awards.
Q. When will I get my check if I am selected?
A. After we receive proof of your college registration and after the Board of Directors convenes in June.
Q. When is the application deadline?
A. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 31st. There is no need for special mailings.
Q. What is the purpose of including the photo?
A. We post the nine awarded recipients on our website.
Please enclose a 2.5" X 3.5" graduation photo with your application
(with or without cap and gown).
Q. Do you require an official transcript?
A. No. An unofficial transcript is acceptable.
